Magen has been a student of anatomy, physiology, Pilates™, yoga, and meditation for over 30 years, Among other certifications, Magen received her Yoga Teacher Certification in Interdisciplinary Yoga from the Nosara Institute in Costa Rica and participated in a month-long Iyengar Yoga teacher training program in Santiago, Chile.
Magen also completed multiple teacher trainings including the Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers. Paul Grilley is the man who developed Yin Yoga as as style of yoga. Among many other important lessons, it is from he and Sarah Powers that Magen cultivated her understanding of anatomy for yoga, the TCM (Traditional Chinese medicine) and mindfulness-based aspects of the practice.
Magen assisted Sarah Powers, in one of her week-long Yin Yoga teacher trainings at Kripalu Institute as well as one of her weekend Yin Yoga workshops at Exhale Spa. Magen is an avid learner and continuously furthers her education, evolving her transformative programs and classes, which include one-on-one customized offerings, as well as group sessions.
